I had an overall pleasant stay at Metropol Hotel, with its perfect location for exploring Tallinn. The cheerful reception staff allowed me to check in early, which was a huge plus. However, the room I stayed in faced the afternoon sun and lacked air conditioning, making it uncomfortably hot at times. It would have been great to have a power socket by the bed for charging devices, too.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and spacious, but the absence of air conditioning made it quite warm during my stay. Comfortably furnished, yet a power socket near the bed would enhance convenience.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially during check-in. However, there were minor issues with the reception process that could improve the overall experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, being close to the old town and public transport. It made sightseeing super convenient, which I really appreciated.
Dining
6.0
I found breakfast offerings a bit lacking in variety compared to other hotels. However, the pizza restaurant on-site was a pleasant surprise and quite enjoyable.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were generally functional, but the lack of air conditioning and some room cleanliness issues were notable drawbacks.

7.0/10

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Metropol Hotel. The central location was a big plus, making it easy to explore Tallinn's old town and nearby attractions. However, the lack of air conditioning in my room made it uncomfortably hot, and the amenities were lacking in terms of basic comforts like tea or coffee making facilities. Breakfast was adequate, but not impressive, and the staff could have been more welcoming.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were generally spacious but suffered from heat as there was no air conditioning. I had to request a fan to make my stay more bearable, and the shower was smaller than I expected.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly, the service felt slow and at times unhelpful. Calls for assistance regarding room conditions were not addressed promptly, which added to my discomfort.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its best features, being just a short walk to the old town and close to transportation options, making it easy to get around the city.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast offered a basic selection, but it wasn't consistently replenished, which was disappointing. I found the options quite limited, especially during busy times.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were bare-bones. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and the additional charges for the pool and gym were surprising. I also noticed that there were few toiletries provided.

6.0/10

My stay at the Metropol Hotel had its ups and downs. The best part was the excellent location, which made sightseeing easy. However, the rooms were disappointing, particularly because the amenities didn't match what I expected from the booking. The breakfast could also use some improvement in variety. Overall, I felt the hotel offered some good value for the price, but there were several issues that could be addressed.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean enough, but the furnishings were dated and lacked basic amenities like a minibar and proper soundproofing. The bathroom had a shower curtain that blew onto my legs during my showers and didn't provide a comfortable experience. The smell from a sewage drain in the bathroom was particularly off-putting, which detracted from my comfort.
Service
5.0
While the staff were generally friendly, their responsiveness was lacking. When I raised concerns about the room and amenities, I received little help, and there was no follow-up from management during my stay. There was a noticeable lack of assistance during the check-in process as well, which felt rushed and disorganized.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is its standout feature. It's just a short walk to the old town and close to various bars, cafes, and restaurants, making it a great base for exploring Tallinn and even for catching a ferry to Finland.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was quite limited and could have been better. I noted that the coffee was watered down, and the food selection didn't offer much variety. It wasn't inviting enough to make me want to eat there every day, so I opted to explore local dining options instead.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel does have access to a spa and gym for an extra fee, which I found convenient. However, the limited facilities were not particularly impressive, and I couldn't take advantage of the spa due to health issues during my stay, which was disappointing.

I had a pleasant stay at the Metropol Hotel, highlighted by its fantastic location near Old Town and the cleanliness of the rooms. However, I encountered a few drawbacks like a strange smell in the bathroom and the lack of air conditioning. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and offered good value for the price. 😊

Rooms
7.0
The room was modern and well-kept, though I noticed the noise from adjacent rooms and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. The shower was fantastic, but I missed having a proper double bed instead of two singles pushed together.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, but I felt they could have been more responsive to my concerns about the noise issues. The check-in staff provided useful information about local attractions.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is perfect, only a short walk from the Old Town and close to various restaurants and cafes. I loved how easy it was to explore the city from here!
Dining
6.0
The breakfast was decent but limited in variety, and I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't included in my stay. However, I appreciated the nearby dining options.
Facilities
7.0
Amenity-wise, I enjoyed the gym and spa access, although I would've preferred if the spa towels were provided. Wi-Fi was reliable and the in-room mini fridge was a plus.

5.4/10

I had mixed experiences during my stay at the Metropol Hotel. The location is fantastic, very close to the Old Town, making sightseeing easy. However, my room had no window, which made it hot and stuffy, and the staff were unhelpful when I raised concerns. Overall, I appreciated the clean and modern furnishings but was really disappointed by the service and room issues.

Rooms
5.0
My room lacked a window and air conditioning, making it uncomfortable. I also found the bathroom had a shower curtain instead of doors, which was annoying. On the flip side, the room was clean and well-furnished, but I felt very let down by the uncomfortable conditions.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the reception staff were quite dismissive when I raised my concerns. Their lack of assistance when I needed to change rooms was really disappointing. They just shrugged and offered no real solution, which left me feeling ignored.
Location
10.0
The location of the hotel is one of its biggest perks. It's just a short walk from the Old Town, making it perfect for exploring the city. I found it easy to access local restaurants and shops, which added to the experience.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent but limited in variety. I would have preferred more continental options, as the selection felt somewhat restricted. However, it was enough to start the day off.
Facilities
5.0
While the gym next door and the availability of spa services were appealing, there were noticeable shortcomings in the amenities within the hotel itself. For example, there were no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, which is odd for a place at this price point.
